Staszek is a district director for NAFTAGAZ, the Polish national gas company, and he had to attend a conference on Thursday, so he arranged for Rita and I to spend Wednesday and Thursday nights near the conference location in this beautiful cabin in a resort owned by his company near the shore of Solinskie Lake.

Solinskie Lake is controlled by a hydropower dam, and was being refilled to summer recreation levels when we visited. I found lots of places to walk, and on one walk I heard a Cuckoo !
