Roman's LPG Powered Car

Roman's LPG car being refueled.

Roman has converted his car to burn Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) as well as gasoline.  An LPG tank has been installed in his spare tire well (the spare now goes in the trunk), in addition to equipment that allows him to choose between burning LPG or regular gasoline (from the car's original fuel tank which is still in place).

He tells me that LPG costs much less per liter than gasoline, and gives only slightly less kilometers per liter (but in Poland fuel economy is not measured in miles per gallon or kilometers per liter but in liters per hundred kilometers - the smaller the number the better).

So Roman has a dual motivation; he is helping to cut air polution, and he is saving money (once his fuel savings have paid for the cost of the conversion).
