These islands off the southern tip of
Kanyakumari are the
southern-most part of India. On the left is the Vivekananda Memorial
where the Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s most important
religious crusaders, meditated for several days in 1892.
On the right is a statue of the Tamil poet/saint Thiru Valluvar.
